In the beginning God created everything, and it was good. Mankind was made for fellowship with Him, but through foolishly choosing his own desires over God's Man broke relationship with Him. This sin has now affected every part of Creation and brought about all the painful results we see today, including the curse of death. Thousands of years ago God made a promise to a man named Abraham that through His descendants God would bless the world. They were to be His people through whom God would reveal Himself, and God made a covenant with them to seal this relationship.

Through how they treated the poor, dealt with sin, and obeyed Him they were to show the world what it meant to live in right relationship with God, in a sense they were His earthly family. The world was to be blessed by Israel through the coming of the Messiah, the One who would bring us back to God.

Everything came together in the life of Jesus Christ. Jesus, while fully being God, chose to be born as a baby and enter into the human life. He worked among the needy, showed grace to the desperate, and through His teachings called us back to God. But He did not only come to teach, He came to die for us. God purposed to make a way for our return by dealing with our sin through Jesus. At His excruciating death on the cross, God placed the punishment for our sin on Jesus.

As we realize our need for reconciliation and place our trust in Jesus to bring this about, we are adopted back into the family of God. This incredible truth of being brought back into the family results in more than we can imagine. We are rescued from the eternity of separation from God that is Hell and welcomed into the never ending joy of Heaven. Our lives change in the here and now as well as we are restored to our original intent of living to honor Him.

To sum it all up, Jesus is the one who brings us back to God. This is the message of the Bible that revolutionizes everything. Very simply, we believe that life is redefined through who Jesus is.

The Holy Bible

Scripture is the God breathed words given to man to reveal His will, purposes, and means by which we may know Him. It is of utmost importance to the believer in guiding all matters of ones life.

The Trinity

There is one true God, eternally existing in three persons-Father, Son, and Spirit. Each person is fully God and shares in nature, power, and glory and exist in perfect harmony to fulfill the will of God the Father.

God the Father

The eternal author of life, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He created us to live in relationship to Him, but through our sin we broke relationship with Him. In love and mercy He purposed to reconcile us to Himself through the sacrifice of His son Jesus, that we may celebrate with and worship Him forever.

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, eternally existing as God's only Son, born of the Virgin Mary. In Him we see the fullest revelation of God through His sinless life, miracles, teachings, death and resurrection. In His death He took the punishment we deserved, and opened the door to reconciliation with God. We await His return in which He will fully undo the work of Satan, judge those who reject Him, and welcome into eternal joy those He has saved.

The Holy Spirit

We celebrate the role and work of the Holy Spirit who brings salvation to reality in our lives. The Spirit does this by convincing us of our sin, awakening us to God, making us more like Jesus and empowering us to live the Christian life. The Spirit baptizes all who are brought into the family of God and indwells them as a sign from God that they are His. The Spirit blesses the Church and individuals with giftings for the strengthening of the body and furthering God's mission. While not every individual is gifted the same way, we believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit such as healing, speaking in tongues, and prophecy are active today.

Salvation

We believe that humanity was created by God, in His own image in order to celebrate and enjoy Him.  Through choosing disobedience, sin has separated us from God.  As a result, humanity is cursed to physical, spiritual and eternal death.  God rescues us through the sacrifice of Christ and transforming work of the Spirit, who brings us to recognize our sin and realize our need for God. As we repent from sin and turn to God through Christ we are saved by the Holy Spirit and adopted into the family of God, where we are freed from condemnation and given the inheritance of eternal life.

The Church

The Church is a living spiritual body of which Christ is the Head; established to show God's greatness and accomplish His will. Those who God has saved make up this body and are to gather for worship, application of Scripture, service and strengthening one another. The people of the Church are entrusted with the work of spreading the good news of the Gospel to a desperately needy world.

The Christian Life

As we come into salvation, God adopts us into His family to restore us to our original intent; living to display His greatness in our lives, through our thoughts, words and actions. As we faithfully submit to Christ's lordship, we partner with God to benefit His entire creation as we continually mature in Christ.

The Ordinances

The Church celebrates the two ordinances established by Jesus; baptism and communion. After being saved, one is immersed in water in the name of the Father, Son, and Spirit as a symbol of beginning the Christian life. In this act we see a demonstration of passing from death to life. Communion is taken as a symbol of continuing in the Christian life. In communion we remember the death of Christ and His work. These two ordinances are to be observed by the Church until the return of Jesus.

Stewardship

Through our money, possessions, time, and relationships we are to live in such a way that His will is accomplished through our lives. Everything we have ultimately belongs to God, and we are to manage it in such a way that reflects that.

Last Things

We await the return of Christ to bring all of history to its fulfillment; the worship of Him. In this return His kingdom will be established on earth, and those who have passed will have their bodies resurrected for judgment. Those who have responded to Christ as He deserves will be welcomed into endless joy and everlasting communion with God. Those who have rejected Christ will be cast aside from Him into eternal rejection and suffering apart from God's presence.
